In April 2020, Psynergy Mental Health and the grounded research team Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humbar (RDaSH) NHS Foundation Trust entered into a partnership, for the purposes of research and evaluation.
As part of our partnership, we shall be conducting innovative research for the purposes of improving the ways in which clinicians can understand objective measures of patient mental health.
We will research how electroencephalography (EEG) can be used in routine clinical practice. We are particularly interested in replicating findings in the wider scientific literature regarding the following areas:
How clinicians determine the most effective outpatient psychotherapy for patients.
Helping clinicians predict treatment responses to particular treatments, such as antidepressent medications, in an objective fashion that can be monitored over time.
How we understand and characterise mental health conditions, in an objective way, by phenotyping patients.
